Three important things to be remembered from this site:
Look Ahead.
Be Smooth.
Don't Lift
The job of this site is to answer your questions about tracking your car from the beginning stage to the advance stage. Tracking your Corvette or any other car is very popular and very easy. People have rented 6 cylinder automatic Mustangs and used them for a weekend track event.
Specifically we will cover driving your car and preparing your car. Since we both are now driving Corvette Z06's, our information is from that cars perspective, however it can be applied to all makes of cars.
We only give you advice that you really need for that stage of your track adventure. The Corvette C5 is an incredibly potent car in stock form. If you are just starting out and you live in Texas, contact either Brett or Dave, chances we can find a willing instructor that will take you out in your stock Corvette so you can see/feel first hand how incredible the car is. One word of advice, hang on tightly.
We hope to get you involved or more intently involved in Club and or Drivers Education track driving events. You don’t even have to participate with your car to go out on the track and experience the adventure. Dave’s sons are at most events he attends. We joking call Daniel a “track whore”, as he is probably out on the track more then us, riding with as many instructors as he can find.
The Link to Grass Roots Motor sports “Top Ten Driving Mistakes” article is great reading for all levels and should be considered mandatory for the beginner.
Last thing “Look Ahead” even if you are not driving on the track, it is great practice.
